At Refined Rustic Woodworks, we create refined yet custom handmade furniture. Our scope of design includes dining room sets, hutches, sofa tables, benches, coffee tables, coat racks, end tables, desks, lamps, and mirrors, to name a few. We also accept other custom work orders upon request.

Randy is passionate about creating unique handmade items with wood. Each item he designs is one-of-a-kind and emphasizes the unique character of the wood. Randy is passionate about creating unique handmade items with wood. Each item he designs is one-of-a-kind and emphasizes the unique character of the wood. Randy collaborates with Salvaterra Pottery (http://salvaterrapottery.com) to craft several wood and clay creations that are displayed on the website. This relationship stretches from their companies to their own lives. Sue, the owner of Salvaterra Pottery, is Randy's wife and also his biggest fan. Together, they create truly unique pieces.
Our Story
Randy grew up in the southern Arizona desert and was educated as a civil engineer. While working as a civil engineer, he obtained his general contractor's license, allowing him to work with wood. Today, after 20 years into this adventure, Randy's home-based business has taken over their home's 1,500 square foot basement. There are also plans to expand the company even further by building an offsite wood workshop, joining his wife's pottery studio gallery on a 4-acre property at 30 Cole Road in Weaverville, NC.

Wood and clay can be transformed into world-class designs to complement your home. We create unique handcrafted wall hangings with a perfect blend of clay and wood. All the wall hangings we design represent a collaboration work of Salvaterra Pottery and Refined Rustic Woodworks.
